Can Cayuna-Van Sickle tandem lift Nxled past fifth?

MANILA, Philippines — Veteran setter Gel Cayuna looked pretty decent in her debut for the Nxled Chameleons in the PVL on Tour.
Now watch her blossom even more with the much-anticipated return of explosive scorer Brooke Van Sickle.
Cayuna and Van Sickle finally get to play side-by-side for the first time when Nxled launches its ambitious title bid in the six-team PVL Invitational, which unfurls tomorrow at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Van Sickle is included in the final roster submitted by Nxled for the short but sweet tournament after missing the PVL on Tour due to minor shoulder issues – leaving fans wondering just how well the two stars will mesh on court.
Their first test comes right away in the opener against 11-time champion Creamline, which will parade Sachi Minowa (Jaja Santiago).
Minowa was tapped by the Cool Smashers for this conference before she flies to the United States to play for another club.
The franchise sees Cayuna as the answer to its woes after failing to live up to expectations with a fifth-place finish in the All-Filipino Conference, despite acquiring the bulk of its roster from many-time champion Petro Gazz.
