MANILA, Philippines — At least 3,000 laptops were distributed to public school teachers and non-teaching personnel in Malabon yesterday, as part of the city government’s effort to provide educators with tools for their work.

Mayor Jeannie Sandoval led the distribution at the Malabon Sports Complex, saying the laptops would help educators prepare instructional materials, manage school tasks and access digital resources.

Sandoval said the laptops would allow the work of teachers and non-teaching personnel to be more efficient.

Aside from the gadget, qualified public school teachers received their P4,500 second-quarter allowance during the event.
