Caloocan HOA president killed in attack

A 55-year-old homeowners association president was killed after an unidentified gunman opened fire inside the HOA office in Barangay 171, Bagumbong, Caloocan City on Thursday.
The attack also left the HOA treasurer wounded.
Police withheld the identities of the victims.
Investigators said the two victims were collecting monthly payments from residents when the gunman entered the office shortly after 3 p.m.
A witness said they initially thought that the gunman was a resident who was there to pay his monthly amortization.
The witness said the gunman kept his motorcycle helmet on, closed the office door and then shot the victims.
The HOA president died of multiple gunshot wounds, while the treasurer managed to call for help and was taken to a hospital, where he remained under observation.
Authorities said the HOA chief’s house had also been shot at in the past. No one was harmed, but the man temporarily stayed in the province before returning to Caloocan.
