SEA V Cup silver resulta ng hard work--Minowa
MANILA, Philippines — Hindi sinolo ni Taka Minowa ang kredito sa pag-angkin ng Alas Pilipinas Women sa makasaysayang silver medal sa 2026 Southeast Asia (SEA) V Cup Women’s Volleyball Championship.
Ayon sa Japanese coach, ang nasabing kauna-unahang pilak ng mga Pinay spikers sa four-team regional tournament ay resulta ng kanilang mga sakripisyo at pagtitiyaga.
“I believe moment is not only about the players who are with us in the national team pool. It is the result of the hard work of so many players, coaches, and clubs who have continued to develop and make Philippine volleyball more competitive over the years,” ani Minowa sa kanyang Instagram post.
Tinakasan ng Alas Women ang Indonesia, 25-13, 23-25, 25-19, 33-31, para ibulsa ang silver medal sa Leg 2 ng SEA V Cup kamakalawa sa Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Sa paglahok sa seven-year, 11-leg history ng regional tournament ay nakakuha ang Nationals ng isang silver at anim na bronze medals.
“I hope everyone can be proud of the players and coaches who gave their time, effort, and heart to this team. This achievement is the result of everyone’s hard work, and I’m very grateful to be part of this journey with all of you,” ani Minowa, asawa ni dating Alas Women middle blocker Jaja Santiago.
Muling hinirang si middle blocker Alyssa Solomon bilang Best Opposite Spiker, habang iginawad kay Eya Laure ang Best Outside Spiker trophy.
Bago resbakan ang Indonesia ay tinalo muna ng Alas Women ang Vietnam, 22-25, 25-23, 25-21, 25-22, noong Sabado matapos ang 19-25, 17-25.
