Mikee, mag-iipon muna ng experience!

Nasa plano ni Mikee Quintos na kumuha ng board exam para sa architecture sa susunod na taon.

Ayon sa Sparkle star, gusto muna niyang magka-actual expe­rience bago siya sumabak sa licensure exam.

“I partnered with my best friend nung college na lisensiyadong architect na. And I’m actually in it for expe­rience talaga more than anything para before ako mag-boards, mas may experience ako. Sure ako kung may experience ako, may mga tanong dun na masasagot ko.

“Maybe next year, I’ll take the boards. Sayang naman ‘yung 10 taon kung ‘di ko ibo-boards, ‘di ba?” kuwento ni Mikee.

Last year ay naka-graduate siya sa kanyang kursong Architecture sa University of Santo Tomas pagkatapos ng isang dekada.

Gee Canlas, ginamit ang fitness competition para kalimutan si Archie!

Mula sa sakit ng puso patungo sa paghilom, patuloy ang “rebirth” journey ni Gee Canlas sa pamamagitan ng pagsali sa isang health and fitness competition.

Napabilang ang actress-host sa Top 20 finalists ng nasabing contest. Ang dating paraan niya para makalimot sa emotional pain ay naging pagdiriwang na ngayon ng lakas, confidence at self-love. “I’ve never felt better. It really feels like, when I posted on my birthday, that this is gonna be my rebirth day. Rebirth talaga,” sey ni Gee.

Ang nasabing post ang nagsilbing mahalagang pagbabago sa kanyang buhay kasunod ng kanilang lantad na paghihiwalay ni Archie Alemania.

Sa halip na manatili sa sakit, inilaan niya ang atensyon sa muling paghubog ng sarili, physically, mentally and emotionally. “Actually, my best friend, si Abby Asistio, she was the one who convinced me to join. But I just really went to the gym, started working out because I needed an outlet. I didn’t want to stay negative and angry, and I wanted to be productive. So, that’s what I did.

“And then, 10 months later, nung nagkaroon ng competition, nag-align kasi... Hindi ko siya plinano in the conscious sense, pero nung nag-audition ako, shock psycho, parang hindi pilit. Ano siya eh? Aligned.”

Tinawag ni Gee na unexpected blessing ang pagpasok niya sa Top 20 ng female category ng contest.

“So, last akong tinawag... Sabi ko, Lord, okay lang. At least, renewed. Nung tinawag ‘yung pangalan ko, ‘yun ‘yung makikita ninyo sa social media, ‘yung talagang fist pump ako na gano’n. Nawala ‘yung voice. Kasi talagang blessing siya. I’m so grateful.”

British-American actress, muntik mamatay sa car accident!

Nagpapagaling ngayon ang British-American actress na si Minnie Driver matapos masangkot sa isang matinding car accident sa France kasama ang isang kaibigan. Pinost ng Oscar nominee sa Instagram ang detalye ng banggaan na halos ikamatay nila.

“A car didn’t stop at an intersection and was going at speed and we just T-boned it. We somehow walked out of... Well, we didn’t walk out of it, we crawled out of it, but we did get out of it alive. The reason why I’m not dead is the car that we were driving. I’ve never been in a crash before, but the 360-degree airbags are what saved our lives.”

“I’ve got a sprained neck... I’m really in a sort of shock and cry all the time but I’m gonna heal. I am so grateful to be alive. Thanks very much from me and my mate. And my family and the people who love me.”
