Medical mission set for cataract, pterygium surgery in Argao

CEBU, Philippines — A free medical mission offering cataract and pterygium operations for around 600 patients will be held on August 4, 2026 at the Archdiocesan Shrine of San Miguel Archangel in Argao, Cebu.

Screening and checkups will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the same venue.

Qualified patients will pay a minimal fee of ?3,500 each to cover the cost of lenses and medicines.

Those taking blood thinners are advised to consult their doctors seven days before the scheduled operation.

Participants are also urged to arrive early for screening and bring drinking water.  — (FREEMAN)
