Abogado ng 18 ‘maleta boys’, pinapaaresto

MANILA, Philippines — Isang warrant of arrest ang inilabas ng Makati court laban sa abogadong si Levito “Levi” Baligod kaugnay sa dalawang kaso ng cyberlibel.

Ang warrant of arrest na may petsang June 15, 2026 ay inisyu ni Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 148, Acting presiding Judge Antonio Ray Abelardo Ortiguera, sa kasong two counts sa Section 4(c)(4) ng Cybercrime Prevention Act. na may inirekomendang P20,000.00 sa bawat bilang.

Batay sa Facebook post ni Baligod, nitong Lunes, Hulyo 13, nang matanggap niya ang kopya ng warrant of arrest at iginiit niya na napagkaitan siya ng pagkakataong sagutin ang alegasyon dahil sa hindi tamang address na ibinigay sa prosecutor’s office.

“I only received a copy of the warrant of arrest today. This case filed by Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. pushed through because the wrong address was deliberately provided to the prosecutor’s office, so I did not receive a subpoena and was unable to submit a counter-affidavit. They don’t want to fight fair, haha,” ani Baligod sa FB post.

Naniniwala aniya, siya na sinadya na maling address ang ibinigay sa prosecutor’s office upang hindi siya makapagsumite ng counter-affidavit.

Si Baligod ang tumatayong abogado ng 18 “maleta boys ” na nagpakilalang dating bodyguards ni dating Ako Bicol Party Zaldy Co na pinaghahanap ng batas kaugnay sa maanomalyang flood control projects.
