Malaysian takes control at Luisita

LUISITA — Malaysia’s Galven Green seized the lead after a sizzling eight-under 64 for a 202 total as home bet Sean Ramos fired a five-under 67 and moved four off the pace after the penultimate round of the $100,000 BingoPlus Philippine ADT Open at the Luisita Golf and Country Club here yesterday.

After missing the cut in his last three tourneys, Green found the Tarlac layout to his liking, assembling nines of 31-33 that followed back-to-back 69s.

He eagled the par-5 No. 9 for a second time in three days and drilled in six birdies in a bogey-free round that gave him a one-stroke lead over Michele Ortolani (65-203) as overnight leader Franco Scorzato of Argentina dropped to joint fourth.
