Baterbonia and Adili passed away last week in a drowning incident during the Blue Eagles team-building session in Aurora, news that sent shockwaves across Philippine sports.
Blue Eagles team manager Epok Quimpo has also stepped down from his post, as various fact-finding bodies have been formed to probe the training incident that claimed the lives of Baterbonia and Adili.
Baldwin thus ends a nine-year UAAP coaching stint highlighted by four championships (2017, 2018, 2019 and 2022) with Ateneo, including steering the Blue Eagles to a 14-0 sweep in the eliminations of the 2019 season.
