CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — Members of the Central Luzon police were taught how to design and install solar power system during a training conducted by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority in the past two days.

TESDA said the training was intended to enhance the competencies of the officers in installing, maintaining, trouble-shooting and commissioning solar energy systems as well as equip them with skills promoting efficiency and self-reliance.

TESDA specialist II Noel de Guzman cited the importance of developing technical skills among law enforcement personnel, saying these can enhance operational effectiveness and contribute to community resilience and sustainable development.

Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez, Central Luzon police director, said the training is a valuable investment as law enforcers need to enhance not only their professional capabilities, but also their ability to contribute to sustainable development and innovative solutions within the police force and in communities.
