DHSUD, Pag-IBIG turn over housing units under Expanded 4PH

MANILA, Philippines — More Filipino families are benefiting from the rollout of the government’s Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Program or Expanded 4PH, with the continued turnover of affordable housing units nationwide.
The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and the Pag-IBIG Fund (Pag-IBIG) on Wednesday turned over house-and-lot packages to applicants for housing loans in Nuvista Homes Lipa.
The turnover followed recent government visits and similar activities in Expanded 4PH projects in Bacolod, Laguna, Nueva Ecija and Pampanga.
DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling, Pag-IBIG chief executive officer Marilene Acosta and representatives from project developer, P.A. Properties, led the turnover of housing units.
During the event, Pag-IBIG housing loan borrowers received the keys to their property.
Aliling, chairman of Pag-IBIG board of trustees, said the turnover reflects the government’s goal to make home ownership more accessible.
He said the continued rollout of the Expanded 4PH Program showed that President Marcos’ housing directive is being translated into actual homes for more Filipinos.
For her part, Acosta said Pag-IBIG Fund continues to make home ownership realistic for more Filipinos.
She said that Pag-IBIG Fund’s housing loan programs are designed to support low-income families seeking socialized housing and middle-income workers looking for homes in the open market.
