LIVE: ICC sets schedule, protocols of Rodrigo Duterte trial

MANILA, Philippines — The International Criminal Court's Trial Chamber III will hold the first status conference on Wednesday, May 27, in the case against former president Rodrigo Duterte over his drug war.

The former president has waived his right to appear in person. 

The conference today is divided into three sessions and runs from 3:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Philippine time. 

The court is expected to take up the trial commencement date and pre-trial deadlines first.
