As the Atong Ang manhunt intensifies, police crowdsource leads
MANILA, Philippines — The police's Criminal Investigation and Detection Group has opened dedicated hotlines to speed up the arrest of businessman Atong Ang in connection with the "missing sabungeros" case.
The move follows the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s announcement of a P10 million reward for information leading to the immediate capture Ang, who was declared as the country's "most wanted."
To facilitate the rapid transmission of leads, the Philippine National Police–CIDG has activated the following nationwide hotlines that operate round-the-clock:

The CIDG said "wanted" posters bearing Ang’s details have also been distributed to CIDG offices and public areas nationwide to aid in the manhunt.
CIDG spokesperson Helen Dela Cruz, a police major, said the agency has been receiving a steady flow of calls since the reward was announced.
The PNP is also awaiting the issuance of an Interpol Red Notice to prevent Ang from fleeing or seeking refuge abroad.
Warrants issued by two courts
Two courts in Calabarzon issued warrants of arrest against Ang and his co-accused last week.
The Regional Trial Court Branch 26, Sta. Cruz, Laguna issued a warrant on January 13 for kidnapping with homicide and kidnapping and serious illegal detention.
On January 15, the Regional Trial Court Branch 13, Lipa City ordered the arrest of Ang and 20 others for six counts of kidnapping with homicide.

Police said all of Ang’s co-accused are already in custody, making him the only accused still at large.
Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla earlier described Ang as the country’s "number one most wanted" in relation to the case.
