Romulo seeks executive session at ICI, cites threat to his life
MANILA, Philippines — Pasig Rep. Roman Romulo appeared before the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) on Wednesday, December 3, to address allegations linked to irregularities in flood control projects.
Romulo requested an executive session, saying his testimony could put his life at risk if made public.
The commission granted his request. Romulo has been accused by couple Curlee and Sarah Discaya of allegedly receiving kickbacks from certain flood control projects — allegations he has consistently denied.
Romulo is an ally of Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto, who first exposed the Discayas. — EC Toledo
