MANILA, Philippines — The second part of the massive anti-corruption rally will commence on Sunday, November 30.

Similar to the earlier September 21 anti-corruption protests, two separate events will occur: the “Baha sa Luneta 2.0” rally at Luneta Park in Manila and the “Trillion Peso March” to be conducted at the People Power Monument in Quezon City.

For the Trillion Peso March, participating schools and organizations gathered at 6 a.m. and will march at the People Power Monument.

Individuals joining the Trillion Peso March are also urged to wear white or tie a white ribbon on their arm.

For the Baha sa Luneta protest, participating organizations also gathered at 7 a.m. before marching to Luneta Park.

Other anti-corruption protests across the country are also expected.

On November 16, the religious group Iglesia Ni Cristo also held a rally for “transparency” and “accountability.”

However, the supposed three-day rally ended in two days, on November 17.

The protests stemmed from the anomalous flood control projects, which allegedly involved the Department of Public Works and Highways, contractors, and some lawmakers.

The first part of the rallies took place on September 21, when demonstrations were held in Manila and EDSA.

However, a riot also ensued in Ayala Bridge, Recto, and Mendiola, which resulted in the arrests of 216 individuals and two fatalities.
