DOJ OIC Vida appointed as acting justice secretary

MANILA, Philippines — Department of Justice (DOJ) former Officer-In-Charge (OIC) Frederrick Vida is now the Acting Justice Secretary.
Vida bared his appointment at the National Bureau of Investigation's anniversary party on Thursday, November 13.
"I received it this morning," Vida said, referring to his appointment.
He said his oath-taking is yet to be announced.
DOJ Spokesperson Polo Martinez also confirmed with Philstar.com Vida's appointment as acting secretary.
Following Remulla’s appointment as Ombudsman, Vida took over to lead the Justice department in October.
Vida was first appointed as an assistant secretary in 2023.
Before he was appointed as OIC, he oversaw the DOJ’s Finance, Administrative Service, and Personnel Cluster. — with reports from the STAR / Mark Villeza
