Readers donate to Damayan for ‘Bangon Sugbo’ drive
MANILA, Philippines — The fund drive of the PhilSTAR Media Group’s Operation Damayan for relief operations in typhoon-hit Cebu received donations from readers amounting to P194,770.
Donations received were from LV-TGFHA, P100,000; K.L., P80,000; Melvin Alidon, P10,000; Rodel Valdez, P2,000; Rica Marian Bacani, P1,000; Aniki Sei, P500; Schannel Ng, P500; Julienne Ashley Cortez, P300; Paula Cortez-Cabrera, P270; Arjane Sayson, P100, and Khristine Mae Roque, P100
LV-TGFHA, one of the regular donors of Operation Damayan, shared: “I’m sending my little donation for our Cebuano kababayans who are in a horrible situation now. Aside from being caused by nature, sad to say, their situation is made almost intolerable by our corrupt officials! Praying for them all.”
Typhoon Tino rampaged through the Visayas last week, unleashing record rainfall and flooding in Cebu on its way to killing 232 people.
