MANILA, Philippines — For the first time, Latvia, Romania and Slovakia have joined the roster of European Union member states, offering Filipino students a wider range of opportunities and academic programs to explore across the EU.

Learners exploring higher education in the EU this year will attend the European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) at the Midtown Atrium in Robinsons Manila from Nov. 21 to 22.

Online sessions are set for Nov. 24.

Ninety-seven representatives from European higher education institutions, embassies and cultural institutes will appear at the fair.

Degree programs, scholarships and research opportunities will be showcased at the event.

New program sessions featuring representatives from the Copernicus Program, the EU’s flagship Earth Observation program, and EURAXESS, a platform supporting researcher mobility and career development, will be introduced.

A special session on Erasmus+ capacity building for higher education will be held, underscoring the EU’s continued commitment to fostering innovation and network building within the Philippine higher education sector.

Information sessions will highlight other programs by matching them with more focused academic and institutional groups to ensure greater alignment and impact.
