LIST: 2026 holidays and special non-working days

MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has released the list of regular holidays, special non-working holidays and more.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. issued Proclamation 1006, declaring the schedule of holidays by publishing it in a newspaper.
The holidays are slated on the following dates:
Regular holidays
- New Year's Day - January 1 (Thursday)
- Maundy Thursday - April 2
- Good Friday - April 3
- Araw ng Kagitingan - April 9 (Thursday)
- Labor Day - May 1 (Friday)
- Independence Day - June 12 (Friday)
- National Heroes Day - August 31 (Last Monday of August)
- Bonifacio Day - November 30 (Monday)
- Christmas Day - December 25 (Friday)
- Rizal Day - December 30 (Wednesday)
Special (non-working holidays)
- Ninoy Aquino Day - August 21 (Friday)
- All Saint’s Day - November 1 (Sunday)
- Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary - December 8 (Tuesday)
- Last Day of the Year - December 31 (Thursday)
Special (working) day
- EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary - February 25 (Wednesday)
Additional special (non-working) days
- Chinese New Year - February 17 (Tuesday)
- Black Saturday - April 4
- All Soul’s Day - November 2 (Monday)
- Christmas Eve - December 24 (Thursday)
Several Muslim holidays will be declared later in the year, based on the recommendation of the Commission on Muslim Filipinos.
Consistent with his past proclamations, Marcos did not declare the EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary as a holiday. The day commemorates the day that his family was ousted from power in 1986.
The Department of Labor and Employment is instructed to write the implementing guidelines for the holidays.
