Duterte left ICC cell? Sara mum

MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte is refusing to confirm reports that her father, former president Rodrigo Duterte, had gone out of the International Criminal Court (ICC) detention facility.
“I know the answer, but I will not comment as I am not sure if it is allowed on my level,” Duterte said. “The best is to ask his lawyer, attorney Nicholas Kaufman.”
Before leaving The Hague yesterday, Duterte reiterated that her father was “forcibly taken and brought” to the Netherlands.
The elder Duterte was arrested on March 11 and turned over to the ICC for alleged crimes against humanity stemming from his bloody drug war.
Meanwhile, the Vice President has claimed that the ICC refused a country’s offer to host her father if his interim release gets approved.
Without naming the country, Duterte said the ICC is refusing to release the former president.
Duterte also claimed that if her father is released, there would be no detainees left at the ICC facility.
Her father has invoked age, poor health and not being a flight risk in seeking interim release.
