House for sale? Battle seen between Duterte kids, Honeylet

DAVAO CITY, Philippines — It’s not that simple, and may take a while before the planned sale of the residence of former president Rodrigo Duterte at Doña Luisa Subdivision Phase 1 in this city wlll be resolved by concerned parties.
Duterte’s partner Honeylet Avanceña put the old house for sale late Saturday, claiming she was no longer comfortable sleeping in it, especially since the former president was taken last March 11 to The Hague, Netherlands over charges of crimes against humanity.
But a few hours after the “House for Sale” sign was put up, it was reportedly removed by current Vice Mayor Sebastian Duterte, youngest son of the former president.
Neither Sebastian nor his two siblings – Vice President Sara Duterte and first district Rep. Paolo – has lived in the house the former president shared with Avanceña.
The Vice President has asked that the house not be sold and instead be turned into a sort of landmark – a place for people to visit and see for themselves where the former president used to sleep, eat and live.
“It is not that easy. It will take a long time before that house will finally be sold, if ever. Or it might (not) really be sold at all. It is a deep issue between the three Duterte kids and Avanceña,” The STAR source said.
Avanceña and the Duterte children are reportedly not on good terms and the sale of the house does not bode well for any improvement in their relationship.
