No Pinoy hurt in Baltimore bridge collapse
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine embassy in Washington has not received any report of Filipinos hurt in the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland on Tuesday.
A GMA report said Consul General Mark Dominic Lim said the embassy is closely monitoring the situation following the collapse of the bridge in Baltimore.
“No Filipino citizen on the bridge or the ship was reported injured or killed in the incident,” Lim said.
The major bridge collapsed after it was hit by a cargo ship.
The bridge, which carries Interstate 695 over the Patapsco River, was hit by the 948-foot Dali container ship.
