MANILA, Philippines — To give more time for prospective bidders to prepare the requirements, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) has extended the deadline for the submission of bids for internet voting and electronic transmission services for the May 2025 midterm elections.
“(This is) to give ample time to all bidders to prepare their bids due to the magnitude and numerous requirements of the project,” the Comelec special bids and awards committee (SBAC) said.
According to SBAC, the deadline for the submission of bids for the online voting and counting system is now Feb. 21, instead of Feb. 20.
“This Supplemental/Bid Bulletin No. 3 is being issued to notify the public and all interested parties that the scheduled Submission, Receipt, and Opening of Bids is hereby reset,” the SBAC said.
In a separate Bid Bulletin, the SBAC also announced that the deadline for the submission of bids for the Secure Electronic Transmission Services has been rescheduled to Feb. 28, from the previous Feb. 14 schedule.
