MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (DOST-PNRI) signed an agreement with the International Institute of Nuclear Energy (I2EN) to develop human resources with nuclear training.
The agreement between the Philippines and France aims to implement high-level programs to develop human resources with knowledge and skills necessary for the safe and secure operation of nuclear facilities and activities.
DOST-PNRI director Carlo Arcilla and I2EN executive director Karen Daifuku signed the memorandum of understanding in October on the sidelines of the 67th International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) General Conference.
The Philippines reaffirmed its commitment to the peaceful use of nuclear energy during the conference.
