STAR launches Egay fund drive

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine STAR’s humanitarian arm, Operation Damayan, is responding to cries for help as it provides much-needed and immediate relief to families overwhelmed by Typhoon Egay.

In Northern Luzon, families have no choice but to take temporary shelter in evacuation sites due to rising floodwaters, strong winds and the threat of landslides.

Ilocos Norte has been placed under a state of calamity due to severe flooding. Most of Benguet province, remains without electricity due to downed power lines.
