MANILA, Philippines — Motorists will see higher gasoline prices today and minimal price reductions for diesel and kerosene.
In separate advisories yesterday, oil companies said they would raise gasoline prices by P1 per liter and reduce diesel prices by P0.10 and kerosene by P0.60 per liter.
Most oil firms will implement the price adjustments at 6 a.m. today, except for Caltex, which implemented the adjustments at 12:01 a.m., and Cleanfuel by 4:01 p.m.
This week, gasoline marked its second consecutive week of price increase. Meanwhile, diesel and kerosene prices come from price increases last week.
Last week, oil companies increased gasoline prices by P0.40 per liter, diesel by P1.50 per liter and kerosene by P1.25 per liter.
These resulted in a year-to-date net decrease of P0.90 per liter for diesel and P1.05 per liter for kerosene, while gasoline has a net increase of P5.70 per liter, Department of Energy data showed.
