Tayag in charge of DOH ops in north Luzon
MANILA, Philippines — Health Undersecretary Eric Tayag will oversee the operations of the Department of Health in north Luzon, the agency’s officer-in-charge said Friday.
DOH officer-in-charge Maria Rosario Vergeire said that Tayag is assigned to head one of the department’s field implementation and coordination teams.
“He is in charge of overseeing the operations of our hospitals, our treatment and rehab centers and our regional offices, and of course, coordination with local governments through our regional offices there,” Vergeire said in a briefing.
He will supervise the Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon.
Prior to becoming an undersecretary of the agency, Tayag previously served as the director of the DOH’s Knowledge Management and Information Service and department spokesperson.
He is known for promoting the campaigns of the department through dancing. — Gaea Katreena Cabico
