The NDRRMC also reported that 129 were injured due to Paeng’s onslaught and 34 remained missing.

Some 4.2 million people’s lives were disrupted by the storm that triggered flooding and landslides across the country. Of these individuals, 111,910 remained in evacuation centers, while 904,528 are seeking shelter elsewhere.

The estimated damage to infrastructure has blown up to P4.17 billion, while the estimated damage to agriculture is now at around P2.79 billion.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. placed Calabarzon, Bicol, Western Visayas and BARMM under a state of calamity for a period of six months unless he lifts it earlier.
