MANILA, Philippines — President Duterte has appointed former acting social welfare secretary Virginia Orogo as undersecretary of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).
Malacañang released yesterday Orogo’s appointment paper dated June 13, where she replaces David Erro at DAR.
Erro served as undersecretary for policy, planning and research.
Duterte had appointed Orogo to head the Department of Social Welfare and Development temporarily in May last year before the official appointment of former Philippine Army chief Rolando Bautista.
Duterte also designated Aldrin Darilag as new commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education for a term until July 21, 2020.
Darilag takes the post vacated by incumbent chairman Prospero de Vera III.
Malacañang also released yesterday the appointment papers of Aurelio de Leon as member, representing the Racehorse Owners Association at the Philippine Racing Commission, for a term of four years.
De Leon replaced Ramon Bagatsing Jr.
