Walang Pasok: Class suspensions for January 21
Several classes and some work are suspended on January 21, Monday due to Tropical Depression Amang and the plebiscite on the Bangsamoro Organic Law.

MANILA, Philippines — A number of local government units called off classes on Monday, January 21, as their areas brace for Tropical Depression Amang.

"Amang" is expected to make landfall over Surigao del Norte mainland-Siargao Islands between Sunday afternoon and evening. Its eye was las located in the area of Surigao del Sur and Surigao del Norte.

PAGASA also warned that some areas may experience moderate to heavy rains until Tuesday.

Meanwhile, last Thursday Malacañang declared January 21 a holiday in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, Cotabato City and Isabela City, Basilan due to the plebiscite on the Bangsamoro Organic Law.

The holiday was declared through Proclamation No. 646 signed January 10.
