Palace welcomes ‘very good’ government satisfaction rating
MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang welcomed yesterday the Duterte administration’s “very good” satisfaction rating in the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey and reiterated its promise to make the lives of Filipinos comfortable.
The nationwide poll conducted from June 27 to 30 found 72 percent of the respondents satisfied with the administration’s performance and only 13 percent percent dissatisfied for a “very good” net satisfaction score of +58.
The administration retained its “very good” net satisfaction rating recorded last March.
During the previous poll, 69 percent of the respondents said they were satisfied with the administration’s performance while 11 percent said otherwise.
“We welcome the SWS second quarter survey showing 72 percent of adult Filipinos satisfied with the general performance of the Duterte government,” presidential spokesman Harry Roque Jr. said.
“Notwithstanding this rating, which SWS classified as ‘very good,’ the President remains focused on his promise to the Filipino people and he has rolled up his barong to fight drugs, crimes as well as corruption and bring comfortable life for all Filipinos,” he added.
Roque attributed the “very good” rating to recently signed laws such as the measures providing free internet connection, free tuition, free irrigation and feeding programs.
“There is no substitute to quality public service,” he said at a press briefing in Malita, Davao Occidental.
“The President is not done yet. Expect more blessings),” Roque added in Filipino.
