VACC head Dante Jimenez named anti-graft czar
MANILA, Philippines — President Duterte yesterday named Dante Jimenez as head of the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC).
Jimenez’s appointment paper was signed last Friday but was released only yesterday.
Jimenez is currently the chairman of the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption.
The PACC, created through Executive Order No. 43 and signed in October last year, will be under the Office of the President.
It will have the power to investigate administrative cases against all presidential appointees in the executive branch of government and any of its agencies and instrumentalities.
Three commissioners are also being tapped to serve in the PACC. They are Greco Belgica, Rickson Chiong and Gregorio Luis Contacto III.
