LIST: Baguio roads closed for Miss U parade
MANILA, Philippines – The Office of Civil Defense – Cordillera Administrative Region has announced that some roads in Baguio City will temporarily be closed on January 18 to give way for the parade of some Miss Universe delegates.
The Civil Defense office said some candidates of the 65th Miss Universe and reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach are slated to hold a parade at the country’s summer capital. They will be riding flower-decorated floats in their three-kilometer parade route from the upper Session Road to the Baguio Country Club. Wurtzbach and the Miss Universe bets will be joined by street dancers during the parade.
OCD said Baguio Mayor Mauricio Domogan ordered the closure of the roads affected by the parade.
The following roads will be closed for the Miss Universe parade from 8 a.m. to 12 noon on January 18, Wednesday:

Both lanes of upper Session Road from the Session Rotonda to its junction with Military Cut-Off

Loakan roads

Both lanes of South Drive Road
Baguio City is among the chosen tourist destinations to be visited by the Miss Universe candidates. The Department of Tourism handled the coordination of provinces to be featured in the international pageant.
The Philippines is hosting the Miss Universe for the third time. The pageant is slated on January 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena. —Rosette Adel
