Tropical depression to be named Marce once it enters PAR

MANILA, Philippines — A tropical depression is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) Thursday morning and will be named "Marce."

As of 10 a.m. Wednesday, the tropical depression is located 1,315 kilometers east of Visayas, moving west northwest at 15 kph.

The tropical depression has maximum sustained winds of up to 45 kph and gustiness of up to 55 kph.

Visayas, Mindanao, Bicol and the provinces of Palawan, Cagayan, Apayao, Ilocos Norte and Isabela will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms, while the province of Batanes will experience cloudy skies with light rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, meanwhile, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
