MANILA, Philippines – President-elect Rodrigo Duterte insisted yesterday there is no compelling reason to appoint vice president-elect Leni Robredo to the Cabinet.
“Leni must understand that she belongs to the opposite side,” Duterte said.
When asked what would be Robredo’s role in his administration, he replied: “We’re still studying the script of the movie.”
Duterte revealed that he offered a post to defeated vice presidential candidate and outgoing Sen. Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
“I know Bongbong Marcos and I don’t want to hurt him,” he said, adding that the senator did not ask for a position.
