Australia Awards scholarship invites Filipinos for 2017 intake

MANILA, Philippines - Applications for the 2017 intake of the Australia Awards Scholarships will be open from February 1 to April 30.

The scholarship is offered by the Australian government as part of its international development assistance to the Philippines. It seeks to help promote prosperity, reduce poverty and enhance political stability.

"Applicants will be assessed for their professional and personal qualities, academic competence and most importantly, their potential to impact on development challenges in the Philippines," the Australia Awards said.

Interested applicants will be subjected to the general eligibility requirements of the Australia Awards and Philippines-specific criteria and selection process.

An English proficiency test result is not required for persons with disability (PWD). There will be a special arrangement with English Proficiency Test provider for PWD applicants who will be shortlisted.

The online application must be completed through the Australia Awards website. Applicants are reminded to have the required documents scanned and ready for uploading. Each scanned document must not be more than 2MB in file size and should be saved in PDF format.
