Mother Lily endorses Gatchalian

MANILA, Philippines - Movie producer Lily Monteverde has endorsed the senatorial bid of Valenzuela City Rep. Sherwin Gatchalian in the May 2016 elections.

 She hosted a dinner-cum-fellowship night with the entertainment media Thursday for the former three-term Valenzuela mayor, who was responsible for the transformation of the municipality into a vibrant city.

 “Hard-working and self-made, Win, as I call him, is so much like Lee Kuan Yew in that they share an indefatigable vision of investing in the youth, education and creating better job opportunities for a better and brighter future,” she said.

 “He is one senatorial candidate who can really do something for the country. If you ask me, I’d say that Win could be the Lee Kuan Yew of the Philippines. What he’s done in Valenzuela is surprising,” Monteverde added.
