No tropical cyclone expected to enter Philippines until next week
MANILA, Philippines – No tropical cyclone is forecast to enter the country until next week, but light rains are expected over parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila, due to the northeast monsoon, the state weather bureau said yesterday.
Cloudy skies with light rains will be experienced over Cagayan Valley, while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains are expected over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon until Monday.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the country during the outlook period, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
PAGASA said it expects the surge of the northeast monsoon to persist over extreme Northern Luzon until Dec. 4, bringing light rains over the area.
From Dec. 1 to 4, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
