Cops get early year-end bonus
MANILA, Philippine – Cops got their early year-end bonus as the Philippine National Police (PNP) Headquarters released the 2015 year-end bonus on Tuesday.
PNP Director for Comptrollership Police Director Danilo Pelisco reported to PNP Chief Director General Ricardo Marquez that bonuses have been credited to individual ATM payroll accounts of police personnel with the Land Bank of the Philippines.
The PNP said 160,000 active duty PNP will receive the bonus.
“The bonuses were released by the PNP Finance Service to the different Police Regional Offices and National Support Units through the Regional Finance Service Offices (RFSO) nationwide for subsequent issuance and distribution to individual personnel,” Pelisco’s report read.
Marquez said the year-end bonus accounts for the 50 percent of the 13th month pay and other cash benefits mandated by the law for all government workers.
PNP released the first portion of their 2015 13th month pay last May.
Cops with pending administrative and criminal cases shall receive their 13th month pay later as their pay is deferred based on the disciplinary policy of PNP.
The year-end bonus allotment for PNP personnel amounting to P2.027 billion was earlier approved by the Department of Budget and Management.
