MANILA, Philippines - President Aquino leaves for Kuala Lumpur at 1 p.m. today to attend the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit, right after hosting the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Manila.

While the West Philippine Sea (South China Sea) dispute was not included in the APEC agenda, the Palace earlier said the issue would most likely be tackled at the ASEAN meeting.

Malacañang has not discussed the issues that the President would raise during the summit in Kuala Lumpur.

Some APEC member-economies are also ASEAN Dialogue Partners like Australia, Canada, China, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Russia and the United States.

The other ASEAN Dialogue Partners are the European Union and India.

The President is expected to be back on Sunday.
