Dennis Carcamo - Philstar.com

MANILA, Philippines — The Sandiganbayan has set the arraignment of ousted Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona on October 15 for failing to declare several of his assets and properties in his Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net worth (SALN).

According to lawyer Dennis Pulma, the anti-graft court's Third Division will arraign Corona for eight counts of perjury and eight counts of  violation of the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Government Officials and Employees.

The cases stemmed from his alleged failure to declare several of his properties in his SALN from 2004 to 2011.

In December 2011, the Senate, convened as an impeachment court and ousted Corona as Supreme Court chief justice for failing to disclose details in his SALN.
