DOJ issues lookout bulletin vs suspects in P700-M investment scam

The suspects of the P700-M investment scam are currently under the immigration lookout bulletin, according to the Department of Justice.

MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Justice (DOJ) placed the suspects in the alleged P700-million investment scam in Parañaque City under the immigration lookout bulletin.

DOJ issued the immigration lookout bulletin order (ILBO) against spouses Mary Angelaine Martirez and Mark Anthony Martirez who allegedly promised a 20-percent profit per month to their investors.

The ILBO dated August 10, 2015 was released by the DOJ following the request of the Parañaque City Prosecutor’s Office (PCPO).

Reports said that the Martirez couple was discovered to have a pending complaint before the PCPO prior to the recent complaint.

Based on the complaints, some of the victims of Martirez couple are from wealthy families who invested millions as initial investment.

The Martirez couple allegedly dropped names of politicians to convince their investors in venturing into their scam.
