Princess Anne visiting Philippines
MANILA, Philippines - Princess Anne is visiting the country next week, the British embassy announced yesterday.
Princess Anne’s arrival is part of a series of high-level visits of British officials to strengthen relations between the two countries.
It will be her second visit to the country. Her last visit was in March 1999.
Aside from courtesy calls on President Aquino and Vice President Jejomar Binay, Princess Anne will visit projects and beneficiaries supported by Save the Children, as well as an elementary school in Leyte.
The Princess Royal, a title given to the eldest daughter of the monarch, will also attend an entrepreneurs’ roundtable discussion and a sporting reception.
A meeting with the British Council Education and visit to Tulay sa Pag-Unlad Inc., a micro-finance trust, are also in her agenda.
