Priest to gov't execs: Stop finger-pointing over Mamasapano

Dennis Carcamo - The Philippine Star
MANILA, Philippines -  An official of a religious group on Friday called on government officials to stop blaming each other regarding the carnage in Mamasapano, Maguindanao last January 25, where 44 44 Special Action Force commandos were killed.

Father Dexter Toledo, executive secretary of the Association of the Major Religious Superior of the Philippines, said confrontations of government officials and blaming each other for the tragedy will not give justice to the fallen policemen.

The prelate also reminded everyone the Pope' message to be instruments of peace.

Earlier, some leaders of the Catholic Church called on President Benigno Aquino III to resign his post for the Mamasapano tragedy.
