2 hurt as bus explodes in Surigao

BUTUAN CITY, Philippines- Two persons were wounded when a passenger bus exploded in Barangay Hayanggabon, Claver, Surigao del Norte yesterday.

A report by Claver police to Police Regional Office-13 here identified those wounded as Evelyn Romero and Maximiana Bolbera Mamba.

Police said the Bachelor Express bus, with license plate 365 and driven by Elde Fuentes Salva, was on its way to Tandag City from Surigao City when it stopped at an eatery for lunch.

.Police said all passengers were eating at Mark Ana Mitcherey Restaurant when the bus exploded.

The victims were taken to Caraga Regional Hospital in Surigao City, some 60 kilometers away from Barangay Hayanggabon in Claver.
