Rainshowers, cloudy skies greet Phl on first day of 2015
MANILA, Philippines - Several parts of the country will have cloudy skies and rainshowers on the first day of the 2015, the state weather bureau said.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the tail-end of a cold front is affecting Bicol region while the northeast monsoon or amihan is affecting Northern and Central Luzon.
PAGASA said Southern Palawan will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms.
Bicol region, the rest of MIMAROPA and the province of Quezon will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Cagayan Valley and Cordillera will be cloudy with light rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains. Visayas and Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the Tropical Depression "Seniang" had weakened into a low pressure area was located at 4 a.m. today at 210 kilometers south southeast of Puerto Princesa City.
