The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Fully Booked Foundation, spearheaded by its president Chris Yam-Daez, recently donated a mini-library to Sinag-Tala Elementary School in Quezon City.

In cooperation with Kinder Project, Fully Booked Foundation has turned over mini-libraries to Balara Elementary School, P. Bernardo Elementary School and Lupang Pangako Elementary School since July of this year.

The foundation also donated 200 teacher’s kits during the teacher training seminar-workshop on “Teaching reading through play: A new roadmap using the new ALPABASA series” presented by Tisha Gonzalez-Cruz of Kinder Project.

QC Vice Major Joy Belmonte, QC coordinator for Kinder Marimel Andes and Filipino coordinator Rodolfo de Jesus led 200 kinder and grade 1 teachers during the two-day training.

In the coming year, Fully Booked Foundation has committed to turn over mini-libraries to eight more public schools to bring much needed books and reading materials closer to children in public schools in Quezon City.

Working in tandem, Fully Booked Foundation and Kinder Project aims to develop reading skills and instill a love for reading in children.
