MANILA, Philippines - A policeman died after he was dragged and ran over by a 10-wheeler truck that he was trying to flag down for a traffic violation in Quezon City, Monday night.
The fatality was identified as Police Officer 3 Juanito Luardo.
Luardo was flagging down the 10-wheeler truck along Congressional Avenue, but the vehicle did not stop.
The policeman gave chase, but his motorcycle's steering wheel was caught by the truck's tire, which made him fall.
The truck ran over the policeman and dragged him for several meters.
The truck's driver and a companion escaped.
