2 bombs explode in N. Cotabato; 3 hurt

MANILA, Philippines - Three policemen were wounded when New People’s Army (NPA) rebels set off two improvised explosive devices yesterday morning.
The policemen, assigned with the North Cotabato provincial police, were responding to harassment by the rebels in Barangay Bagumbayan when the bombs exploded at around 9 a.m., according to Capt. Manuel Gatus, spokesperson for the Philippine Army’s 57th Infantry Battalion,
The policemen were reported to be in stable condition at a hospital, he said.
