Tacloban school grad tops CPA exam

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A graduate from a school hit by Typhoon Yolanda topped this year’s licensure examination for certified public accountant (CPA).

Rommel Rhino Caludio Edusma, who studied at the Asian Development Foundation College in Tacloban City, led 1,107 passers in the test given by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) last July with a grade of 94.57 percent.

A total of 5,540 took the test.

In the social website Facebook, Edusma posted “to God be the Glory!!!” after learning that he topped the board exam.

Edusma is from Cabugnayan, Biliran, Eastern Visayas and works for SGV & Co., a multidisciplinary professional services firm in Makati City.

ADFC officials said they are proud of Edusma, saying for 22 years they have strived to maintain quality education to their students despite devastation to the school caused by Yolanda.
